Birthday & London Haul♡

So this post is going to be a haul from when I recently went to London and my birthday (29th Jan.)
I'm going to start with my birthday, not everything because that might be a bit boring, a heres a disclaimer to say that I'm not bragging in any way, I just thought I'd share!
  • Down Town perfume by Calvin Klein - this was my present from one of my best friends Jasmine. It smells delicious and I've been wearing it every day.
  • Gorgeous by Gok Wan: Bronzer, Brush and Body Wash - I actually got given two of these, from Amy and Abbie who are my other best friends. The body wash smells amazing and the scent is really long lasting. I haven't had a chance to use the bronzer yet but it looks really lovely, and the brush is very soft and large - perfect for face powder.
  • Lush Body Sets - I was given two boxes from my Aunt, 'Buttercup' and 'Blooming Beautiful', which smell SO amazing. I used to not really like Lush but since I was given these and a few other lush products, I've noticed they've left my skin so soft and they smell amazing. In my bath last night I used the 'Honey Bee' bath bomb, which although left my water an interesting colour, it made my skin feel moisturised and the smell was lovely too.
  • Office Chelsea Boots - So my mum got me these boots from Office, named 'Office Bramble Chelsea Black Leather' and I haven't stopped wearing them. They're really comfortable, fashionable and breatheable, so I'd definitely reccomend them. I wear a size 5.5 - 6 UK, and the size I got was a 6 and they fit perfectly. Team them up with a pair of black tight pants for when the weathers cold, a plain white tee and an oversized parka. In the summer, wear them with shorts or a skirt and a Topshop vest - the two for ten pound ones that come in all different colours.
Thats all I can think of right now, but I'll add anything in if I remember!

Onto my London Haul.

  • Blue Hair dye - so I've wanted to dye the underneath of my hair blue for a long time now, as strange as it sounds! And when I was at the hairdressers on Friday, I saw that they had Loreal Hair Chalk for sale for £15 a bottle, so I got some. I haven't used it yet but when the holidays come round then I'll definitely do it. It washes out after about 4 - 5 washes, and when I do it I'll take pictures and do a tutorial/review.
  • Black Leather Skirt by River Island - this skirt is AMAZING!! I love it so much but sadly I haven't had an excuse to wear it - yet. Its high waisted, finishes above the knee with a zip down the back. The only problem is that it gets kinda sweaty in there, so maybe avoid wearing it in the summer. Plus, it costed only £25! I wear mine with one of those famous Topshop vests, in grey or flourescent yellow.
  • Leopard Print T-Shirt Dress by River Island - This dress is another amazing purchase. You can wear it alone, or tucked into the leather skirt. Animal print's so in this year, and so is leather, so in this leather-sleeved number, you can follow both trends. Wear with gothic lips such as MAC's 'Cyber' or 'Diva'. If gothic isn't your style, try a nude such as MAC's 'Myth.' To dress this and the leather skirt up, pair with lace up black boots. The dress was also £25.
  • Topshop Vests - I love these vests, they're probably my go-to tops in the summer. They're available in Petite and regular, and I usually get petite as I'm only 5'3. I already had green and white, and then when I was in London I got grey and flourescent yellow. They're very comfortable, and at £6 each or 2 for £10, they're very cheap too.
  • Gilly Hicks Pants - I don't usually like stores such as Gilly Hicks, Jack Wills, Hollister etc, but I have to admit GH pants are to die for. I only got three pairs which were in the sale for £1.99 each, all lace, one in pastel yellow, one flourescent yellow/green and the last one in bright green. They're extremely comfortable but I'd never pay the full price of £10 for one pair.

I think that's the end of my London Haul! Thank you to Amy and Jasmine for coming with me, and thank you to everyone else who gave me birthday gifts!

2014 Trends - My Predictions♡

Hey, sorry I haven't done a post in a few weeks, I've been really busy. I know its a bit late but - Happy Holidays! I hope you got everything you wanted. So this post is going to be 'Up-coming trends for 2014,' and these are just things that I've read about, and things that I think we'll be seeing a lot of this year.

  • Nails ; I'm thinking matte nails with glossy french tips. Try Barry M Classic Matte Polishes in Expresso. White will be making a classy come back on nails and especially toes, as seen on the Kardashians and Jenners. My favourite white is Topshop's Spilled Milk. Theres nothing like a pretty pale pink on your nails and toes. I predict that nude toenails will be big - mix it up by using a matte nude instead of the usual glossy. Try Barry M matte nail paint in Vanilla.
  • Lips ; Recently I've been LOVING gothic lips so I bought MAC Diva, which is a dark matte burgundy. Purple lips were first spotted on the fall/winter 2013-2014 fashion week runways, predominantly at Fendi, Lanvin and Miu Miu.
  • Hair ; I've always loved a braid, the old fashioned, Rapunzel-style plait running down your back. I've noticed more and more girls plaiting their hair, maybe down to the Hunger Games hype, in which the teen heroine, Katniss (played by the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence) lives in a dystopian world in which children are placed into a 'fight to the death' competition. Throughout the movie, Katniss' hair is worn in a intricate plait.
  • Face ; At this time of year I tend to use a mattifying foundation with a thick day cream underneath to protect my skin during this colder period. 'No Make up' make up; that gorgeous, sun kissed, dewy skin with the unkempt brows and a creamy lip for when the weathers that little bit warmer. I'm thinking matte skin for the fall/winter, and glossy covergirl skin during the spring and summer. Thicker eyebrows are still on the runway - take your inspiration from Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins.

Thats the end of my beauty predictions for 2014. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Review; Essie Nail Polishes♡

Hey everyone, this post is going to be a Review on the brand Essie. I believe you can buy it in most Boots and Superdrug stores, and the colours vary from glossy nudes to rich plums.

Here are my favourite colours for all year round. Images will be attached at the bottom.

  • toggle to the top; sparkling crushed garnet red, great for a sultry look.
  • bahama mama; a warm, rich, creamy, dark plummy colour.
  • pink about it; blossom pink with micro flecks of holographic glitter.
  • power clutch; a striking, deep grey-green.
  • sand tropez; a soft sandy beige.
  • after school boy blazer; academy blue-black.
  • wicked; a deep, dark vampy sinister red.
  • lovie dovie; a perfect true flamingo pink.
  • play date; a flirtatious soft purple.

Pretty sure that sums up my favourite Essie Nail Polishes! The formulas are great, really long lasting and chip-resistant, and the brushes are nice and controllable. I believe in the UK they cost around £8, and I think that's pretty reasonable. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what your favourite Essie polish is!

Happy Birthday to my Daddy!

My Holy Grail Products♡

Hey everyone, so this post is going to be my HOLY GRAIL POST! (shoutout to Eliza the best friend for helping me decide what to post about!)

So here goes! My list of products I couldn't live without;

  • Hemp Hand Protector by The Body Shop; This stuff works wonders on dry hands and it smells pretty neutral so its good for both men and women!
  • Dream Matte Mousse in 40 Fawn; My favourite foundation, so creamy yet matte and with good coverage, and comes in so many great shades.
  • Sleek Eyebrow Kit in Dark; Comes with both a gel formula and a matte brown shadow, and really well pigmented. Kit includes two small angled brush and tweezers. Comes in light and dark.
  • Volume Million Lashes by Loreal; Possily the best mascara I have ever used. Really strong black color and not clumpy.
  • Vaseline Rosy Lips; a twist on the amazing original vaseline, but can be worn as a gloss. It's a really pinky sheen.
  • Johnson's Baby Lotion; I use this every night to take my make up off, really moisturising and cheap.
  • Johnson's Baby Oil; I use this every night to moisturise my skin, sinks in so quickly and leaves your skin glossy and soft.
  • Pleats Please perfume by Issey Miyake; Literally the most delicious fruity scent, sweet and floral. And the packaging is to die for.

So I think that is the end of my Holy Grail list,  but if I think of any more I'll include them at the end of my next post.

My 2013 Christmas List♡

Hey everyone, so this year I actually got off my ass and wrote a Christmas list! I was pretty excited, because every year it's a bit of a struggle for my mum to find presents for me as I never tell her what I actually want.

So, this year when she asked me, I did it straight away, so here it is, and I'll include pictures and you can see what I want.

  • MAC lipstick in 'Myth'.  - I've been searching for the perfect nude lipstick for sooo long! So when I watched Shannon's (YouTube Beauty Guru Shaaanxo) favourite MAC products and this was on it, I googled it and found out its actually the same product that Kim Kardashian uses to get her trademark nude pout. The swatches show a really balmy, wearable nude. Hopefully it will look okay with my NW30 skin.
  • Fingerless Mittens - My mum had THE CUTEST pair of these, and my walk to school is ridiculously long (over a mile) and the weather in the UK is shocking, especially at this time of year. So that explains why mittens are on my Christmas list this year!
  • White iPhone - I think this pretty much explains its self...I want a new phone! Although I actually asked my Dad for this.
  • The Naked 3 Palette - Most of you will know that the Naked palettes are the Holy Grail of most Beauty Bloggers. So the Naked 3 is the 3rd installation of the Naked series by Urban Decay, and I need the 3rd palette. This one is a really shimmery-pink toned collection, lots of rose-gold and champagne colours. I'll include a picture and a link to the official Urban Decay website below, but you can also buy Urban Decay at House of Fraser, and MAC is also sold there!
I honestly cannot remember anything else I asked for this Christmas...wow.

Sorry for my memory failure, I'll edit if I remember anything else!

PacSun Wishlist♡

So when I found out that the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner klan were releasing a clothing range with Pacsun, I was so excited and couldn't wait to check it out.

The introduction to their range was - 'The "Kendall & Kylie" collection embodies the casual-yet-chic sensibility of the Jenner sisters. Born and raised in California, Kendall and Kylie Jenner's finely-tuned sense of style is distinctly inspired by the diversity, optimism and creativity of the Golden State. Their exclusive collection for PacSun brings through that California spirit in the complete collection which ranges from outerwear to accessories.'

They mixed their upbringing of being surrounded with some of the most expensive designers and fabrics in the world with the 'Kalifornian' teenager style, and created an exclusive collection just for Pacsun.

Sadly, they only have Stores in the states, and shipping to the UK is super pricey. But, its coming up to Christmas, so I'm planning on spending my Christmas money on these beauties...

Oh My Goodness, are these three not the nicest outfits you have ever seen? I know it's Winter here, but I can't gel but shop for Summer! The flowery prints are to die for, and the mesh on the middle dress is sexy but not showing TOO much flesh, just enough. I'm a bit of a stickler for dresses or a skirt and cropped tank combo that shows your midriff, so these three are perfect for me!

Prices are reasonable, but the shipping and taxes are so expensive!

Daisy Tank Top = £19.32
Daisy Midi Skirt = £26.49

Black Mesh Cutout Dress = £32.22

Black cutout dress with sunflowers = currently out of stock. *sob*

Taxes was something crazy like £15, and shipping was £19?! I know its from the US, but it all adds up!

So my Kendall & Kylie for PacSun wishlist has come to an end. I was thinking of doing a Kylie look for less, all bought from The Great British High Street, of course! Let me know if you would like to see that.

Inspiration♡

So I decided for my second blog post I'm going to do it about my inspiration.

Shaaanxo was the YouTuber who inspired me to create a blog, and if you don't know who Shannon is, she's a 20 year old blonde bombshell from New Zealand, who is AMAZING at make up. I'll put the links to Shannon's channel etc down the bottom at the end of this post.

Recently I've been loving winged eyeliner, and this is all because of one beautiful teen of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner. She's is ridiculously gorgeous, funny and so fashionable. Her and her older sister Kendall have a clothing range at Pacsun, and I'll put that link at the bottom also. In fact, after this post I'm going to do another just about all of the clothes on my wishlist from Kendall and Kylie's Pacsun range.

Olivia Palermo always looks amazing, in whatever she wears, if it's casual friday or dress up monday, she's super versatile and looks polished and gorgeous. Not to mention her glossy chocolate hair. What ever product that is, I want it!

My nail inspiration usually comes from wherever, I like to experiment with glitter and random colours on different nails, but at the moment even though it's winter here, I'm loving white, pale pink, silver and gold glitter, with shiny finishes on medium length nails.

Looking for a perfect, thick white? Try Topshop's 'Spilled Milk' (surely that should be *Spilt Milk?!) It's a wonderful dupe for OPI's 'Alpine Snow'. A glitter I'm loving at the moment is Barry M's Textured Nail Effect in 'Majesty' 340, and looks great paired with Maybelline's Color Show in 'Nebline'.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I'm going to do a Pacsun wishlist right now!

Scroll to the bottom for pics. And let me know if you want swatches/pictures of the nail polishes!
